Avoid individuals who often tend to put you down or constantly compare themselves critically to you – they erode your sense of self. This is the time to focus on you – not your negative side, but your positive one. Think of someone in your life who you admire and look up to, a mentor of sorts, and aspire to be like that person. Stay active with both physical exercise and public events
When you look good, you feel good about yourself – it’s that simple. Studies show that people who are physically fit often achieve far more in their careers. Immersing yourself in activities that make you happy will also help your sense of self. Whether it was a sport or extracurricular club, get involved again in something that you may have given up in the past due to your busy schedule or little time. Don’t be afraid of failure, in any sense of the word
There is no “quick fix” to anything, and that includes gaining self-confidence. For each successful move that you make, there will be failures as well. Take those failures in stride and move on.
